Seb Fontaine (UK) – Fri 20 / Sat 21 / Sun 22
Seb Fontaine is one of the most recognized DJs on the international club scene. Through his high profile and long-standing residencies, radio shows and compilation CDs, Seb has been at the forefront of the electronic music scene for many years and continues to showcase his electronic house grooves at high-profile gigs around the world.
Seb Fontaine has started 2013 with a bang. Recently having played Twickenham to a record breaking 78,000 people for England at the World Sevens and rushing over to Monaco to play one of the best Parties F1 has seen with Carl Cox for Red Bull Racing. He was also recently in Singapore orchestrating the after parties for CeeLo Green and Aerosmith. With two new fantastic residencies to add to his list at the famous Halikarnas in Turkey this summer and becoming the international resident at Play in Hong Kong he is truly in demand and was recently on tour with the British Lions warming up the stadium. He also continues to be a brand ambassador for Spotify and Mazda (he has just created the new music for the worldwide reveal for one of their new cars), this really is looking to be one amazing year for this stalwart of the World house music scene.
Seb Fontaine has hosted Type @ The Cross – a long-standing monthly night that was lauded as one of London’s best nights during its 8 year tenure. Seb has continued to play shows throughout the world and is now as happy playing to the glitterati in Monaco (where he played at the 2012 Red Bull Party) as he is rocking mega music festivals (he headlined Zouk Out in 2004 and played on the main stage along with Paul Van Dyk). With his new “Worse for Wear “ nights gaining massive momentum and a new residency at Cargo in London it looks very much like promoting is still in the blood .
On the production front, Seb has relaunched his Mono-Type label and has been extremely busy in the studio early 2012 .Last year he hit #1 on the Cool Cuts and Buzz Chart with ‘Need to Feel Loved’ as Reflekt. Originally released on Postiva in 2004 and produced by Seb Fontaine and Julian Peake, ‘Need To Feel Love’ was a massive international success and featured in the award-winning movie ‘It’s All Gone Pete Tong’ in 2005. The follow up has just been signed to Armin Van Buuren’s Armada label and with his more clubby Deadstock Disko project in full flow this looks to be a busy 2012.
After discovering house music, Seb progressed through a number of high profile residencies at clubs such as the Hanover Grand, Ministry Of Sound and Cream. With these residencies came the opportunity to work with KISS FM and later Radio One – where he presented a weekly Saturday night show to a worldwide audience. As an elite international DJ, Seb has also released a number of best-selling compilation albums for Global Underground (‘Prototype’), Ministry Of Sound, Cream and Positiva.
Seb Fontaine has been at the pinnacle of the dance scene for over 17 years and maintains his status as one of the world’s best DJs. With the continuation of his worldwide DJ schedule and ever expanding international support, his headlining The Podium Lounge 2013 on Friday 20, Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 September at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore is set to be one of the major highlights of this world-beating DJ and producer’s year!
