Her 2013 UOB POY win and subsequent successful solo exhibition at UOB Plaza 1 have enjoyed considerable attention from the press and public. For The Podium Lounge she will be presenting an entirely new body of work, tapping in to the Formula 1 fever and spirit, including a small selection of her now famous and highly evocative ‘Mandalas’ series and new pieces in her complex and dynamic ‘Moments’ series.

Armin Flossdorf has been working on sports themes for ten years in particular Formula 1. His main technique is acryllics and pencil on canvas. His interest and close connection to motorsports in general and to the Formula 1 in particular naturally lead him to action-paintings of Formula 1 cars. As a consequence racing cars became his object of preference. Soon his “F1-arts” made him well recognized within the motorsport scene. In the following years he equipped VIP-Lounges around race tracks, performed live-paintings and exhibited his art around races and at motorsport events. One of his first big supporters within Formula 1 was Jean Todt, who equipped his F1-museum in Paris with various pieces of Armin’s art. Armin’s paintings are spread all over the world in galleries as well as offices and houses of people related to motorsport.
Having started off in Monaco, his first “Formula One – Fanatic Location” Armin now exhibits his art all around the world, wherever motorsports are involved. In 2008 he accompanied the F1 to Montreal and Singapore, where he exhibited at exclusive F1-focused hotels and performed his live-paintings around various track-side events. Since then, Armin has exhibited in Bahrain, Monaco, Milan, Singapore, Montreal, Austin, Shanghai and Abu Dhabi.
One of his specialties is “Speed Painting” action. Armin finished an entire painting of a car or driver within 15 Minutes, starting with a white canvas. Clients and guests of his exhibition are always thrilled to watch Armin speed painting and showcase his masterpieces in-the-making live.
